IotD RSS / XML

If that doesn't sound like gobbldygook to you, I've set up the RSS feeds for IotD, and put a link onto the blog view, on the left side there. Just because of how it works, it'll point to the forum "view" of the image if people use it - and I think that's funny -

but if anyone wants to try it and let me know whether it works, go ahead.

I was able to cut and paste the URL into My Yahoo's syndication, which means that IotD is now at the top of my My Yahoo page, which is neat; but it was kind of hard to do, and I don't know if anyone else would do it.

I'm trying to add this to my rss feed for my yahell ... it refuses to recognize the blogview url. WHat should I be typing into the little "search" box?

There's an RSS plugin for Firefox somewhere.

If I remember to look, I'll make it available, but now you know it's out there.

OK, not sure why I did this, but I did, and it works!

Kinda interesting that it focuses at the bottom of the thread, not the intuitive answer anyway!

I added the RSS feed tonight into my.yahoo.com, it was easy peasy with the link.

Thanks, Tony!

I've made a slight change to it such that it brings up the blog view instead of the forum view. RSS readers may prefer that view, I think.

Cool! This does one thing I've been wanting for a while -- a way to get the IotDs listed by date originally published rather than the date of the last comment. I think I slightly preferred the forum view, fwiw.
- Pie :thankyou:

Bloglines seems happy with it.

Just a technical note:

the blog view means that the bracketed tags display as tags, and dont function.

Just the quote tags, I think. URLs, images, bolding and italics work ok.
