TerraServer is cool. Anyone else willing to post where they live?

Somewhere, deep in apartment hell...

Zoom out, look around -- Tampa is a beautiful town. Looking around, I suppose I live on the edge of it, however. Lots of trees around, lots of swampy parks -- a fairly peaceful place to live. Oh, yeah, except for that damn Interstate so close by. And if that river ever floods, I'm in for a world of hell.

And now you have my "ICBM". :nuke:

Actually DC, not Arlington, VA.

I have no idea why, but that image looks computer generated, Happy Monkey. Something about the buildings, the angle, and colors make me expect to be able to take control of it like Sim City. If it happens, I promise I won't destroy much.

I checked the date of the photo taken for my area, checked the calendar and found out it was a Monday, moved the view over the office building I worked at and checked my normal parking spot...

Hey, Ma! I can see my car from up here!

Here's my house in Arlington, VA. You can see the little blue slide my kids have in the back yard. That's kind of cool. This was taken in the afternoon, and it looks like we aren't home, because our car isn't in the driveway. You can see the yellow roof of the kids' Fisher Price car in the back yard, next to the blue slide. They're both just little dots.

This is a new picture, but still two years old. Two of the houses in this picture have since been torn down to build bigger ones.

My humble abode

Wolf: I always thought you'd be in some remote location, possibly behind a moat.
Or is the bunker that thing behind your house?

That is part of the eventual plan, although there is ongoing discussion of the utility of a moat vs. free range bears patrolling the grounds. You see, it's very difficult to maintain the crocodiles in these northern winters.

Or is the bunker that thing behind your house?

That information is classified.
