seriously... a couple hundred innocents slain, and now they finally got one they were after. good job, america.

Yea. America if so against killing innocent people, as we all know from the complaining the US did after the terrorist attacks. (Don't get me wrong, I am incredibly pissed off the attacks happened. I just think that the US is a hypocrite. It's ok for them to kill innocents, but not for anyone else.) Yet, they were able to bomb and kill hundreds of innocents in Afghanistan. I think they had a right to bomb, but not a right to carpet bomb a city which I beleive they did. They should stick to only bombing specific positions. Ground troops are moving in so hopefully we will only kill the Taliban leaders now. Bush says the war could take over 2 years so expect innocent casualties and stuff.

I believe you are mistaken, Scampo. I haven't seen any reports of saturation bombing of civilian targets in Afghanistan. Nor do I expect to. Of course, I may well be mistaken. Which Afghan city did we "carpet bomb", and when?

It is possible that I am wrong, and probable that I am as well. I remember hearing from somewhere that we had carpet bombed a city in Afghanistan, but I looked into it, and realized that it had not happened. It's my fault for posting information which was incorrect and I regret doing so.

Props then, for posting a retraction, which almost never happens online...

Mabye not carpet bomb but civvy targets have been hit, including two UN buildings. If you bomb a city you are gonna hit people as well as military. At the same time largenumbbers of taliban forces are moving towards the northern front where they know the US won't bomb because they don't want the northern alliance taking over Kabul.
