Can anyone enlighten us as to what is actually going on here?
Don't remember where this was found or when but it still makes me chuckle and wonder - and that's why we come here, right?

That's was a fraction of second before the landing.
Looks to me like they've just collided in mid-air, and are now rebounding apart, judging from the looks on their respective faces.
The dog is wearing a red cape, so it is logical to assume that he is Krypto, Superman's dog. Therefore, the guy on the left is probably Superman (really getting on in years, isn't he?), and they probably hadn't seen each other for a long time, and were rushing joyously to greet one another when they collied. Forunately, their super powers prevented serious injury.
Yeah, that sounds about right, I think.
Looks like the dog is catching a frisbee, and the man is jumping up into the air.

They're jumping hurdles. The dog is afraid of the ground and the old man is too senile to remember that he's in midair.
