What you don't know about this picture is that the squirrel is actually frozen in place, and when the sunflower seeds run out, he's a goner.
I'd suppose the fur helps....
Their feet don't actually touch the ground. They're sitting on giant folding claws like Freddy Kruger or Ed Scissorhands. Ask warch about squirrels.:D
He's probably more worried about his nuts then his toes.
