Pretty damn bold, there, LJ...stealing your neighbor's evergreens in broad daylight. Good thing you didn't get caught. They'd have to have charged you with contributing to the delinquency of a minor on top of grand theft tree.

By the way, since none of the other Cellar perverts have mentioned this, I thought I should say that Jinx is a lovely young woman. Wha'd she marry you for? :D
lumberjim • Dec 2, 2003 1:03 am
I had her mother hidden away in a warehouse......

I threatened to let her out if she didn't marry me.

oh, christ, you must actually know something about lumber.

this is a very nice specimen of a "Engleman Spruce." It grows to very large heights at maturity and is a real sonofabitch to cut with a saw. gooey meat, and prickly needles. nice branch strength for those heavy ornaments, and smells wonderful.

board-feet...hmmm.....9 foot tree, double trunk, 7" base diameter. with a little joining, some 40 weight ballbearings and some gauze pads, i should be able to get 20+ from this one. but, I think i'll just decorate it and then chop it up into logs for a nice winter campout in the back yard.

thanks, april

You made your post at 12:42 AM. I made my post responding to it at 11:25PM some 23 hours later. There are 11 posts in between that I had not finished reading yet, when I responded to your post.
Apologies will be accepted in the form of tribute. Trinkets, beads, Dodads.:p

If you don't want me to oogle your wife then you'll have to invest in a burka because she is much too lovely not to be admired.

Now I'm even more confused than I was, but I read this to mean that it was an unfortunate juxtaposition of your allegedly prurient post, rather than any actual lecherous intent, which resulted in my having taken it altogether wrong (to be fair, Lumberjim took it wrong too).

At any rate, for all these misunderstandings and more, and out of a sincere desire to avoid recreating anything remotely resembling our recent upheavals...I apologize, and am actively seeking tribute.

yeah, i didn't know what the hell he was talking about. I suspect that bruce thinks on an altogether different and foriegn plane of consciousness than humans sometimes. as you put it elspode, he's denying his insinuation.

So,.... what was the wink for, then?
...i was just popping off, anyway...I'm not the jealous type. I don't mind that bruce "admires" her....

I scarcely know bruce, and cant say wether he was or was not ...you know....I also think he realizes that if refering to ....what he refered to.....about someone he scarcely knows' wife......isn't over the line, it's at least CLOSE to the line. Risky humor, but very funny. I know he wouldn't intentionally offer offense. I can just tell. I just thought it would be funny to tie it back to that other thread,.... and try to get some beer out of it.

I do have one problem with this tho, She's gonna kick my ass for weeks over this for making her the topic of discussion......

sorry, shelb

I'm not only cute, I'm slippery as hell.
One thing I can tell you young whippersnappers. Married women always tell their spouse. Sometimes it takes awhile. Sometimes it's in a shamefull confession. Sometimes it's a vengeful weapon.
But guaranteed, they will tell. That's why I don't mess with married women.:)

EDIT: anymore.
