11/21/2003: Duck and fly

When I mentioned last Friday that there were no animal pics in my queue, someone sent along this beaut - with an email address that didn't match up directly with any cellar account, so thanks, whomever you are.

This is an outstanding shot by any measure but especially by the measure of what makes for a great Friday image.

I wonder if he got it.

Wasn't for lack of trying if he didn't. I would be thin as a rail if it took that much effort to get MY fuzzy butt up the get the chips.

Kind of makes you admire the wonderful workings of nature: a duck, in essence, is a device to convert nasty little critters into tasty meat, while an orange tree is a device to convert earthworm shit into tasty sauce for said meat.

I wish I'd taken that picture. I'd be doing some bragging.:)
