nice scenary

It's about that time of the year ... at least in northeast USA ... colors are changing, animals disappearing, old joints getting creaky ... how about some nice scenary shots?

This is the NYC skyline, taken from the top of the Arthur Ashe stadium at the Flushing Meadow Tennis Center (during the Roddick/Nalbanian semifinal match at this year's US open). It's a nice photo - until I realized a minute ago that it's missing the financial district. Anyway.

I don't see any Yankees.:p

Unfortunately, the financial district is missing a couple of landmarks, too...sigh.

On a brighter note, I think I see the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building there on the leftish side of the pic. The Chrysler Building is one of America's architectural treasures, and one of my favorite buildings. Wish I could go there sometime.

We did a 60+ mile ride around Owasco and Skaneateles lakes over the weekend. Pete destroyed me. We had an ideal weekend both at home and on the road (except for the leg cramps and knee pains).

Very impressive pics guys. I'm assuming you took them with your digcam. What kind is it?

Griff - the color in the second one down is awesome.

Pete took those with just about the cheapest digital available, a point and shoot HP photosmart 318 we picked up back when we bought our computer. The light/color was so good Saturday that you really couldn't take a bad shot. The photo you like shows the leading edge of a Harley rally of maybe 50 bikes just cresting the knoll above us.

Sorry I disappeared for a bit ... went to Hamilton, Ontario for the cycling world champs this weekend. Took about 350 photos in 4 days on my sony cybershot p-8 ... awesome camera, super light.

The link doesn't work because you added the comma after the htm extension as part of the URL.
