Hooters waitress gets bamboozled

From the Bonita Daily News this has potential for a laugh (and then a groan).

Seems an overachieving employee at Hooters was promised a new Toyota for her efforts in a beer selling contest. Instead she was given - yup, you guessed it - a new... toy-yoda. Not a big Star Wars fan, she decided to sue. I hope she gets absolutely squat!

Interesting that the contest was in April, one month after Hooter's Air officially 'took off'.

I'll reserve judgement until the facts in the case come out. What if it was written somewhere as "Toyota"? There's hardly enough information in that article to judge whether or not her claim is credible.

She was blindfolded, led into the parking lot, and presented with the toy yoda.

Her boss, restaurant manager Jared Blair, had told his waitresses that he didn't know what kind of Toyota it would be -- a car, truck or van -- but the winner would be responsible for the tax on the vehicle.

Even if it wasn't written down as a Toyota, it was very strongly implied.

And she won the case, and as part of it got a new Toyota.
