"Quality Images" Mission Statement

arz • Sep 24, 2003 3:19 pm
Gosh, I love Corporate-speak.

The "Quality Images" area includes original photographic works as well as images that are from other sources. Is that the true intent of that particular discussion area?

To include images that are either photos or from somewhere else? I think that's a bit broad, but yes.
xoxoxoBruce • Sep 24, 2003 5:34 pm
Where is this going?

Right Here

Where is this going?
I'm just asking. I see a mix of original stuff, stuff that gets modified from the original and then stuff from other sites on the web brought into "Quality Images." I decided to ask what the goal of the discussion area was.

It's whatever it wants to be, and whatever it becomes!

Well said UT , well said !!!!!!!

We don't need no steenkin mission statement ...

I call for an official moritorium on Total Quality Management, Continuous Quality Improvement, and other annoying "paradigm shifting" crap on The Cellar.

I believe Mrs. Dallas has some ISO 9000 manuals lying aronud from a past life... I'll see if I can take some snapshots and post 'em.

I think we need to vote on a committee to analyse the situation.
wolf • Sep 25, 2003 1:57 am
perhaps we can establish a focus group to look into the feasibility of initiating a task force.

Any chance of outsourcing this?
Undertoad • Sep 25, 2003 8:56 am
OK, look, I was a big-5 consultant back when they were the big-6, so I don't want to drag out the big guns. But if there's scope creep along our critical path I'm gonna use industry best practices to implement a proactive synergy.
SteveDallas • Sep 25, 2003 10:17 am
Scope creep? I've found the biggest problem with my scope is the right ascension drive clutch. It takes 1-2 minutes for it to engage, which can be troublesome at high magnifications. And you can't use the slow motion on that axis while you're tracking.

Oh, wait, you didn't mean telescope. Never mind.
xoxoxoBruce • Sep 25, 2003 6:08 pm
You don't have a quorum so just forget it. Go home.:p
warch • Sep 25, 2003 6:37 pm
I thought "Scope Creep" was when you swoosh the minty fresh and, immediately, suffer a sudden apoplexic episode- passing out, tumbling backwards, mouth ajar- resulting in a subtle expression of the turquoise liquid down your left jaw as you hit the cool, hard ceramic tile. In slow motion.

Here...this ought to help the discussion...

I haven't seen much "scope creep". More like "scope 'run a marathon'"

"Initiating Tactical Continuity."

Yes, I agree. We need more of that at my place of employment.
