dvd write solution?

I know this is kinda off-topic but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with a enterprise back-up solution (hardware) that uses DVD.

I need to pick a unit for testing.. and I'm leaning towards a DVD-RW one..

Any experience/suggestions?

While i cna't say i have the price/storage ratio is pretty awful compared to osmthing like 60g tapes.....I knwo a digital video specialist who uses it for that - but only coz they buy the disks bulk to give clients work on dvds not for any other reason.

I always thought the canonical enterprise backup solution was "Mr. Sulu, full reverse impulse power".
