OK, tell me if this is whacked... When I arrived home from work, there was a letter stuffed inside the screen door from a guy who organized a local group to preserve green space. They have gotten the approval to purchase a tract of land to keep it from being developed and preserve some of the watershed. So far, fine.
Now here's the weird part--or is it just me? He's very proud of the fact that they are able to do this without any township tax monies.
"So," you ask, "where DID the money come from?" About 55% from the state (dept. of conservation & natural resources) and 45% from Delaware County.
Where does he think all that county & state tax $$$ comes from?
