It's like asking a soldier, which would you prefer to wear, helmet or body armour?
And the mask helps with a wide variety of communicable diseases, while vaccines are targetted. Which is a consideration for everyone, but especially doctors who have patients coming in with unknown diseases (to be diagnosed) because they already have symptoms.
