can't help you with the closed thing. yes if you jump around it will revert to default.

You can change it JAMIN to show all threads on each base by defauly by going here:

www.cellar.org/profile.php?do=editoptions

And scrolling down to: "Default Thread Age Cut Off' and select "Show all threads" :)
