Boat II

This day started out bad and got worse, first i get stuck on a sand bar and have to get towed to the shop. Running aground managed to fuck up my lower unit even worse and ruin a new propeller.
I won't get in to the VA and their fuck up's today. This afternoon about 4:30 Dude from the shop calls me and gives me the estimate $2,600.00 American Money, I got off cheap. I forgot the best part on the way to the shop my port pontoon kissed a rock and I put a hole in it, so that needs to be welded up, I don't know what that's going to cost.
It was just a fucked up day all around. I'll take pix tomorrow when I go to secure the boat for storage.

Damn, that does sound like a plenty-fucked-up-day, Fargon. Hope it turns out not to be as expensive a day as it sounds.

I can't remember what size motor ya said ya have in your first Boat thread, but, in my neck o'the woods at least, that much money will buy a decent used motor in the 30-60 horse range.

Hope you have a better day tomorrow, dude.:comfort:

Sorry man, this is a bunch of crap vs chilling on a boat.

So man. Are you sure you don't want a truck instead?

Maybe a Duck boat?

We are going to the boat yard tomorrow and cleaning out the boat and get ready to go in to winter storage. The whole thing the lower unit, the welding, and the storage the whole thing is $3,500.00. I'm getting off cheap.

I'm so glad you're *happy* with that result.

(it sounds extremely painful to me)

You could save rent by living on it...

That thing has a bathroom, kitchen, quite amazing.
The video gives a tour.

That is pretty sweet.

Now here's an idea...

Instead of welding up the hole in yer pontoon, just put a fish sticker over the hole.

Prollum solved.

Flextape?
fargon • Sep 24, 2020 9:54 am
Flex tape would work for a few minutes.

This is what is keeping me up at night, I have been "commissioned" to help redesign the cabin top and interior.
I have pictures but my laptop will not download my phone.
