What Do You Want From Life?

Oh my God this is glorious, somehow didn't realize how great it was back in the day. Goes great in headphones.

Well, you can't have that, but if you're an American citizen you are entitled to:
a heated kidney shaped pool,
a microwave oven--don't watch the food cook,
a Dyna-Gym--I'll personally demonstrate it in the privacy of your own home,
a king-size Titanic Unsinkable Molly Brown waterbed with polybendum,
a foolproof plan and an airtight alibi,
real simulated Indian jewelry,
a Gucci shoetree,
a year's supply of antibiotics,
a personally autographed picture of Randy Mantooth
and Bob Dylan's new unlisted phone number,
a beautifully restored 3rd Reich swizzle stick,
Rosemary's baby,
a dream date in kneepads with Paul Williams,
a new Matador,
a new mastadon,
a Maverick,
a Mustang,
a Montego,
a Merc Montclair,
a Mark IV,
a meteor,
a Mercedes,
an MG,
or a Malibu,
a Mort Moriarty,
a Maserati,
a Mac truck,
a Mazda,
a new Monza,
or a moped,
a Winnebago--Hell, a herd of Winnebago's we're giving 'em away,
or how about a McCulloch chainsaw,
a Las Vegas wedding,
a Mexican divorce,
a solid gold Kama Sutra coffee pot,
or a baby's arm holding an apple.

Pie will do.

I can't have pie.:sniff:
glatt • Sep 12, 2020 4:17 pm
Can you have shepherd’s pie? I love shepherds pie.
Gravdigr • Sep 12, 2020 6:46 pm
Yeah, no, that ain't pie.

That's beef stew.

And, no, I shouldn't have that either, cuz taters.

And peas.

And corn.

And cheese.

There's a version without all that stuff. It's called cybill shepherd's pie. It might be stale though.

Shepherds eat beef? I thought they ate mutton, sometimes lamb, and occasionally Collie.
monster • Sep 13, 2020 12:49 am
Most people called Shepherd are Millenials/Gen Z, and therefore eat quinoa and plant based protein topped with a Teff flour and flax milk mash.
xoxoxoBruce • Sep 13, 2020 12:56 am
Good grief, next you'll be telling me they sleep in beds at night.

That's rough :( What is your allowed diet?
Gravdigr • Sep 13, 2020 5:43 pm
It's just your basic diabetic diet. Sugar is verboten, and as little carbs as you can manage.

Uncledigr summed it up best:

If you like it, you can't have it.
monster • Sep 13, 2020 7:05 pm
bollocks :(
Gravdigr • Sep 14, 2020 3:42 pm
One upshot; I can eat all the meat I want, because protein.

And then I can eat my sugar-free Jello instant chocolate pudding.

Y'know, as in "Hooow can you have any pudding, if you won't eat your meat?"[/PinkFloyd]

:D
Clodfobble • Sep 14, 2020 7:47 pm
I can highly recommend the Pederson's brand of sugar-free bacon.

Been doing that for a good long time now.

Lost like 80 lbs. Feel great.

You can have :

Avocados
Bacon
Chicken wings
Eggs
Filet mignon
Greens
Ham
Jerky
Lunch meat

Etc.....

Maybe easier fur me cuz I vastly prefer savory to sweet.
Gravdigr • Sep 15, 2020 9:15 pm
It's the starchy vegetables that are hardest for me, I liked my taters and my peas.

Soft drinks were far easier to give up than I thought they would be. My saviors are Sprite Zero Sugar, Diet A&W Root Beer, and Diet Dr. Pepper.

Also transitioned to thin crust Meat Lovers pizza. Less carbs than regular crust.

"Eat all the lean protein (meat) ya want." was music to my ears.

ETA: Eating on some Sweet Baby Ray's-flavored jerky rfn, btw. Made by Bridgeford.:yum:

I have lost 35 lbs eating meat, the occasional salad, and keto breads, and such.
Tater bad.
