Nice to see that the cellar is now offering Gluten-Free versions of their classic thread recipe.

Heh. There's an awesome new brand of hamburger buns at my local store, but word has apparently gotten out because they're always out of stock... Fortunately for me, (most) cheese is naturally cardboard free!

You're missing out on a lot of free fiber doing it that way...

I used to delight in/squirm at having to mark bottled water as gluten free.....
BigV • Aug 10, 2020 7:05 pm
what, like Budweiser?
Clodfobble • Aug 10, 2020 7:45 pm
Budweiser is exactly the kind of water that is NOT gluten-free...
monster • Aug 10, 2020 8:54 pm
No, like Ice Mountain. If it had an authentic GF symbol on it, I was supposed to highlight its GFness, regardless of how fucking obvious it was.......
BigV • Aug 10, 2020 10:23 pm
I thought Budweiser was mostly rice and water...
monster • Aug 10, 2020 10:32 pm
"mostly" is a key word. Like "mostly a virgin".

Anheuser-Busch lists the same ingredients for Budweiser and Bud Light: Water, barley malt, rice, yeast and hops.

Barley is not GF, FYI.
Clodfobble • Aug 11, 2020 8:02 am
What's more, anything with just the word "malt" in it (malt flavoring, malt syrup, etc.) has a 99% chance of coming from barley malt, and thus means gluten.
