Less than a year until Brood X cicadas come back...
Perhaps they could import some of the seagulls from Salt Lake Valley. They seemed to work out pretty well... However, that was about 175 years ago and things may have changed since then. (Uh, look up Mormon Crickets, pioneers, that sort of stuff. )
