It occurred to me that when this virus got serious, or I should say when the public got serious about it, everywhere I turned I was hit with "We're all in this together". Sort of a post 9-11 type vibe.

That must have scared the shit out of the Republican campaign strategists as their whole schtick is divide and conquer. I guess that's why the bullshit claims about every phase of the pandemic from plenty of equipment to phony cures, and conspiracies.

They found their footing.

related note: Dad put up his fucking Trump yard sign. The County Republican committee is as you would imagine keeping everyone in line with Limbaugh and Hannity. We had our own Open Up protest on the Green in Montrose but it didn't look like the Taliban anyway. Since I work in NY, I haven't been watching the PA planning closely but Facebook says they opened the Martz bus lines to Philly and NYC which does seem idiotic.

Metro creates passenger limits to support social distancing
To support the health of passengers, drivers, and community members, King County Metro has instituted new passenger limits to promote social distancing. Metro is also developing additional mobility options for customers taking essential trips.

To better help each person maintain six feet of separation from others as guided by Public Health – Seattle & King County, the optimal number of passengers is 12 on a 40-foot bus and 18 on a 60-foot bus.

Definitely under capacity but I might still think twice before getting on the bus. Thankfully, I have my own wheels, but many people do not.
