[EDITING MINE]

The URL you copied was to the Google search page that your image was found on, not the image URL which has to end in an image file suffix (e.g. - .bmp, .gif, .jpe, .jpeg, .jpg, .png) in order to use the image tags (Image).

[COLOR="Red"]Linking to an image; however, is NOT recommended for IOTD.[/COLOR]

If there's a back story to the picture, post it or link to it, but don't link the picture. That way, when someone is going through back IOtDs, they don't see a red X. ...

[BOLD MINE]

The preferred method for IOTD opening posts is to download the picture and then upload it in IOTD. That's what I did with your picture.

Please follow the link to xoB's full post and observe the other considerations for IOTD opening posts.

Well, you got what you asked for.

Too bad you didn't ask: Could a mod change this thread's heading to: April 30th, 2020 : Very very frightening

If you wanted it to match all the other headlines in format, you had to spell it out. After all, you're not paying for the mod's morning cup of coffee/tea. :p:
