Flying coast to coast had been done a couple times but not by black men, this feat takes desire, skill, and resources.
Very few men, and no black men had all three in 1932. Banning only had two but did it anyway.
Quite an adventure, from charging people to write their name on the plane, to dropping 15,000 FDR campaign leaflets over PA, in order to make NY.
