This photograph of William Harley and Arthur Davidson was taken in 1914. I picked up on that right away, pretty astute eh.
But I can't make out the banner hanging from the handlebar. Harley went to the University of Wisconsin Madison so I thought it
might be a college banner but that doesn't work. He grew up in Milwaukee but that doesn't fit. What's it say?
Your use of the word 'astute' may be misplaced. See this and make up your own mind:
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/harley-davidson-1914-photo/But the real photo of Harley and Davidson is even better! It has fish in it!
But, but, there was something fishy about the photo in the OP too!
As the Snopes article reveals, the pennant on the back bike says "Wanamingo."
That explains the pennant.
Hollibaugh may be correct but the two guys in the picture look more like Bros than brothers to me.
If the OP had said first bike I would know that's not true as they had been making bikes for 10 years at that point.
If the staged fish picture (nobody goes fishing in a 3 piece suit) is genuine, it's 10 years later but which Davidson is it, Arthur, William, or Walter?
I thought they did urrthang in 3-piece suits back then.
And hats.
Another question, how many triangles in this figure?

I counted 35, did I miss any?
