Leading Ladies

Shorpy posted this picture of Jane Russell and Marilyn Monroe on the set of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes in LOOK magazine from 1952.
As lovely pant pant the ladies are, my eyes keep drifting to the lady in the background.
I'd give a lot to know what she was thinking? :haha:

We can't see much of Jane Russell's other hand and arm, maybe she was scratching her butt.

she's thinking, " I can't tell if I have to poop, or if this girdle is just too tight?"

"So that's what it takes to hook a Kennedy."

This is what it takes to get two Kennedys...

It's hard to tell for sure, but I think the lady in the upper picture is looking at something behind the curtain, not at either Ms. Monroe or Ms. Russel. Her eyes are looking too far to the side.

You can see the shadow of whatever is behind the curtain, but it's not clear who or what it is.

Edit: It's possible that Marilyn Monroe and the lady in back are looking at the same thing. Something small and on our right. Very close to the curtain and perhaps behind it. Maybe the producer's poodle walked onto the set.
