Text the manky cooze
Gravdigr • Oct 10, 2019 2:57 pm
Manky.

I've been watching Rake on NetFlix. A few episodes ago one of the characters described another as a manky so-and-so.

I'm not sure I've got the meaning 100%.

We could try the Candyman summons:

Dana, Dana, Dana.

Or, there may be only Zuul now.
monster • Oct 10, 2019 4:44 pm
Manky = grubby, not pleasant, inferior.
Mancy = from Manchester.

the similarity is pure co-incidence, as Manky is a more appropriate description for scousers :p

A manky cooze is therefore a growler.

I thank you.

That doesn't mean you can call a largemouth bass a manky cooze.
DanaC • Oct 15, 2019 4:57 pm
I see what you did there
