I was reading through a list of family names and septs for clan (Mac)Gregor.
I was pronouncing each with a Scottish brogue, until I came to the M names and I'm sure they would be indistinguishable from one another.
Maybe you could sort the M names into 4 groups if you had a good ear for the dialect.
