Feb 21st. 2019: Oh Deer

I had followed some click bait to a bunch of photographs, I think it was a British newspaper, but I’m not sure.
Anyway I saw this picture and thought it was cool so I downloaded it.
When I look at it I feel it’s a frame in a stop motion sequence and try to imagine the next few shots.
It could play out many different ways so make up your own scenario.



I figured I’d find out more about it by doing an image search... silly me.

Still no details so let’s try TinEye
TinEye gave me Russian sites, the Chive, Reddit, Imgur, Photo Magazines, and a bunch of Hasselblad links.
They went back to 2010 and many were 404s, but that picture wasn’t on any of the links.

Oh well, deal with it.:cool:

It seems unlikely that a guy was skiing fast through the dense trees at night without a light, taking jumps and what, got captured by a game camera?

Right, Nike grabbed that old picture of the deer and added the skier wearing their clothing for ads. Since the deer were taken prior to 2010, they're all dead by now so Nike didn't need to get them to sign releases. :haha:
Still fun to imagine the next couple of frames, skier smacks tree, skier gets a ride on a deer, skier's only in it for the doe.

What you posted was a link to a single frame from the GIF. See the jpg at the end, that means a picture and won't move.

Oh, I knew it was a pic. When I tried posting the gif, the Cellar said, "Oh, I don't think so!"

The jpg was the closest I could get. ;) Maybe I picked a crap gif link . . . ?

The clapper I posted is one I loaded into the Cellar. If you quote my post you can see the address.

It may be that that gif is bigger (file-wise) than the Cellar allows.
