Is this where new people say hello???

I have browsed your boards and decided tonight to sign up..

The place I usually hang out late at night is super dead tonight

Welcome! We do have a new user induction process, which you've just started by posting your first post. But since there's no spam in it I'm not sure anyone will take notice. (Usually people respond to the spam with interesting posts and then it's hard to delete the thread)

Don't mind me. I'm the resident curmudgeon, as one of our users once put it. But yeah, welcome.
xoxoxoBruce • May 19, 2003 5:51 pm
Welcome here my friend, to the show that never ends.

Psst....Dave's really a pussycat, but don't tell him I said that. ;)

Oh..by the way..I'm the village idiot, but the Cellar is very tolerant.

Welcome aboard! Now say something outrageous so we can give you a proper vetting.

Welcome!

We may be a relatively small village, but we do have a preponderance of idiots ...

(hmmmm. whattaya think guys? should I put that on the taglines thread?)

Welcome, Jayhawker!

Remember, don't let your love of the Halfling's leaf slow your mind!

Do I detect biting sarcasm? Yep, yer gettin' old alright. :)

BTW - I think part of the Cellar induction process is enduring a flame from Dave. But we can't tell you when it'll happen. Like any enigma, you never know when or where it'll strike.

If you want to really feel like part of the community, post a ranting argument and watch it be torn to pieces.

Hello Jayhawker Welcome to The Cellar. I'm British but that's another story :D

Enjoy your stay.

Chris.

Make it something about the recent war, Israel and Palestine, or gun control. That'll get the masses nice and riled up.

Welcome...enjoy.

Um, I think you meant "and", not "or".

Nah...any of the three could keep a shitstorm going for a week at least.

The 3 together--let's not go there.

The Kansas Jayhawks are pure evil and must be destroyed at all costs.

Sorry 'bout that...that was the Missouri coming out in me.
Jayhawker • Jun 3, 2003 1:44 am
Thanks for the kind welcome.. I ran across your site while googling and thought a lot of you sounded like my friends at the other site I frequent.. :)

Then the whole world started spinning at quadruple speed and I had no time to get back here ..until now...

as for "flamefests"..that's not my style.. I enjoy reasoned debate and thoughtful discussion.. I'll leave the flamefests for the young 'uns..:)

Glad you showed up. I really enjoyed reading e unibus plurums link about the Jayhawkers.:)
Elspode • Jun 5, 2003 10:10 pm
Hey, Jayhawker...I'm an equally balanced Mizzou/KU fan (although Sycamore will tell you that [a] there ain't no such thing and [b] I'm crazy as a shithouse rat).

What part of Jayhawk Country do you hail from, anyway? I'm in suburban KC...
Jayhawker • Jun 9, 2003 4:34 pm
Born In Salina.....lived outside the US until highschool and graudated from Salina High... then moved out of state again (Indiana) ...

We did live in Olathe for 18 months until heading west...

I guess you could say I am not a very continuous Jayhawker.. We have lived in Southern Calif for the last 24 years..:)

I dearly Love KC.. :):)
