Toys

Hess Oil Company, located primarily on the east coast, would sell toy trucks at their stations for Christmas.
They were cheap, included batteries and built really rugged.
I remember buying them in the '70s and '80s for $12 0r $15.
Last year Hess sold their retail operations to Marathon Oil who changed the station names to Speedway.
I was surprised when Hess announced they would issue a 2018 edition for $35, batteries and shipping included.
I Googled it and it had a link to Hess for $35 and a walmart link for $75.

My son had the 2006 one that hauled a helicopter. That one was really cool. A motorized propeller and flashing lights. His cool uncle gave it to him.

Texaco used to have tanker truck banks that they sold at Christmas.

I did not know the Space Shuttle ran on gasoline.

Also, the mock-up I was in, and the ones on TV looked bigger.

Or a jet fighter.

And, whatever they run on, I would avoid launching them from the back of a gasoline tanker truck. Just asking for trouble, really.

Bigger toys for bigger boys and girls. About $7,000 for a basic assemble it yourself kit. with all the pieces preformed.

I see you've included a shot of the VIN number, so, I assume street legal?
