Nov 27th, 2018 : Clydesdales

♫I like a big horse and I cannot lie
You other brothers can't deny
♫That when a horse strolls in at an itty bitty pace
And a big proud head is in my face, I get sprung

I like the Belgians and Percherons but the Clydesdales are special, flashier, more high spirited which unfortunately makes them
more prone to lose their cool in a bad situation. Unless you live on a farm that has them, you usually only see them in harness
pulling a wagon. But like all horses they do frolic and are capable of some impressive moves.

One outfit in Devon, UK, uses Clydesdales as you would other horses, like for carrying guests over the countryside.
At the website they have videos of their Clydesdales doing dressage, jumping, eventing, barrel racing, and reining.

Then there’s the Annual Clydesdale Stakes at Exeter Racecourse to benefit the Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

Of course the Belgians are also impressive, just not as sexy. :haha:

If horses wore flip-flops, what would it sound like?

clipflip-clopflop...flipclop-clipflop...wait...

Horses can't wear flip-flops, they don't have a cloven hoof.:smack: They wear shoes.

Sorry.

Sorry urrbody.

I have always wanted a suit of shining armor that is comparable in size and mass to that of a large draft horse. You know, lance 20 feet long and capable of spearing a tank.

Hell, some can even play football!

And then there's this (which I never saw) - very clever. :D
