That time we didn't camp in the ADK

So we planned a biggie, a three day event with multiple 46er peaks but the weather didn't cooperate. We went to plan B. We'd hike into Street and Nye climb both and hike out. It was really wet Saturday and apparently had been wet for a month. We got to the creek crossing at .9 miles. The water was too high to go rock to rock so off came the boots and socks for the wade. When I felt my calves start to seize we quit that and did a quickie hike up Mt Joe plus some side trails. Here are the creek and the view of Marcy from Joe.

Sunday was colder but dry making for an excellent hike up Roostercomb. Truly a beautiful day.

Pretty thin population this weekend. 7 college girls and a dog on Joe. 4 assorted humans and a dog on Roostercomb. The ladder freaked out a 20 something girl from Florida. She missed the peak by 10 minutes.

Roostercomb made me want a "real" camera.
