Your Noisemaker

So this is my new friend. The ladies bought this used for my birthday and now that I can actually hear it seems like a good time to start on-line lessons. It has really a nice sound despite the operator. I'd like to see all the instruments of the cellar.

I doubt you really want to see what I play with. :headshake

Well, at least shine it up and tune it before ya show us...

I have an Applause (a cheaper Ovation) deep bowl acoustic in the top of the closet. No electronics, but that thing is the loudest pure acoustic I have ever heard.

Secondly - I’ve got an awful lot of noisemakers ...

Yeah, I figgered I’d start with the one I’m exercising most at the mo’. It’s pretty, it’s cute, it has a great wee case, too. Pix tomorrow ....

I'm picturing Limey as a one-person band with a squeezy 'twixt her knees and a sousamaphone over her shoulder.:tuba::jig:

I’ll grapple with the technologies and see what I can do. But shouldn’t I post it in the “artistic expression” forum?

A couple of shots from within the last year. Bass drum is a 1970's Ludwig Vistalite that I got for $20 at a garage sale. I mounted zip strips to the inside of the screws on the lug hardware, made loops and ran rope lights through (so they're not physically attached to the shell).

Subsequently I've started playing a weekly gig and have moved to a miniature rack system with smaller toms and two cymbals. I'll update with some shots of that. Also will post a weird little setup I've come up with for playing on Halloween.
