I don't know, seems to me like giving up half the fun.

Bompas & Parr. Spirits and mixer are fed through humidifiers to create a walk-in cloud of breathable cocktail. Alcohol enters the bloodstream of the person inside the room through the lungs and eyeballs. No need for expensive cocktail glasses.

From the second link...

Dubbed “Alcoholic Architecture”, the bar on Cathedral Street features a breathable cocktail cloud that guests can wander through and gulp up.

The immersive experience sees spirits and mixers turned into a cloud of alcohol with the help of humidifiers creating an environment of 140% humidity.

Visitors are asked to don protective suits and breath in the cocktail vapour, with the alcohol entering the bloodstream through the lungs and eyeballs rather than the liver.

I haven't set foot in London in years.
The whole place is noisy, smelly, often threatening and, in this instance, bizarre.
Actually, delete word 'bizarre', insert word 'weird'.

140% humidity.

Fuck that.

How do you guage dosage?

I suppose the effect is pretty much instantaneous unlike administration through a stomach. So maybe you just stop when you feel drunk?

How does the bartender cut one person off without cutting everybody off? Sounds like trouble.
fargon • Sep 15, 2018 4:50 pm
How does the Bartender stay sober enough to do their job?
captainhook455 • Sep 15, 2018 5:18 pm
Down here a bartender is a mixologist.

Something I just thought of the people's clothes will be saturated with alcohol, that should make going outside for a smoke more interesting.

It seems they're ready for people to absorb until they puke.

So now I gotta put on my drinking suit, too?

I don't wear suits to funerals. And if they put one on my dead body I'm coming outta that box.

That.

They could have smoking and nonsmoking rooms: a cloud of smoke, to be mixed in with the cloud of vaporized alcohol, for smokers.

It took me a week to find the thread.

But I was thinking the same thing. I think somewhere along the line they changed there product name from "Vapor Spirit" to "Vaportini". It doesn't sound like an improvement to me, though the equipment seems unchanged.

I await the small-scale-disaster-to-come.
