When you really gotta get in that can and KY won't help, here's the emergency procedure.
If you only have a plastic spoon... eat it.

...and that wasn't a Chinese made spoon!
Have y'all noticed that the rim of the cans have a smaller edge so that my electric can opener that I have had for 20 years bought in a yard sale won't open the can. I have to cock the can up and try several times. I started to call DelMonte and complain about this, but I noticed all the cans on store shelves have the new low lip.
It's called, "Don't make 'em like they usta". I've been hearing that term since I was knee high to a grasshopper. :haha:
I have a p47 on my key ring. Don't leave home without it!
ooh, you've moved up from a P38.
But what if the reason you're in the predicament in the first place is you lost your damn keys? :lol2:

Hah! My P48 is the latest in can opening technology! I'm not scairt of losing my keys - at least when it comes to opening cans - I have a spare P38/48 stashed in with my camping gear. A regular straw in a haystack! ;)
I have to go down to the beach for a military surplus p48. The stores at Myrtle Beach have almost anything for sale. Almost like Manhattan except no one is hawking hot goods at alley ways. I could have bought a 140hp Evinrude still in the wood crate, but I didn't have a boat back then. I have to see if there are new electric openers for the new cans at Walmart.
What the hell happened to the video? First there was a black square with a frown face and now nothing.

It worked when I clicked on it just now.
Yeah, I can see it now, but at one this morning it was playing pirate then probably went out to take a leak 'cause it was gone. I should have done a screen capture.
Mule and Bruce, you two are Very Very Frightening.
At least, if you fly by in that order.

Now, it's
updated!!
This is the one to keep at home. There are a lot, I have "T-fal". It cuts around the
side instead of around the
top so the lid can actually go back on. I don't remember it not working at any point.
I have the same one and I really like it
Oh speaking of P-38s. I was at this campout a few years back. It's a gay event, an annual thing, though not as gay as you might expect, since it's a campout in the state park. There are, however, a disproportionate amount of RVs being brought in.
Anyway, that year it was a "military" theme, so they had a contest to see if any of us queens could operate a P-38, with predictably hilarious results. I think a couple actually managed it.
A couple?!
A P-38 is a strictly solo instrument. Although I suppose if you wanted to share the work, one could grip the cylinder and the other could work the top until it comes off. I can see that.
:giggle:
That's not proof--mere speculation.
Please don't give him proof.
