As a wee pup growing up in Texas, the fambly made the occasional visit to the Texas State Fair, where the ORIGINAL corny dog was given birth in 1942.



If you have never had a Fletcher's corny dog, you have not eaten a corny dog. Not a real one, anyway.



To this day, the only fair food that I simply MUST eat is a corn dog (not that standard fair corn dogs are anywhere near as delicious as the original corny dog, but I ain't going back to Texas just for that).

At the Big E (Eastern States Exposition, West Springfield, MA), Deep fried jelly beans.

I've never been to the State Fair here. I can't find anyone to go with and the thought of navigating the crowds and parking on my own make me want to vomit.

Bruce's photo above makes me want to vomit.

And the Minnesota State Fair...

I love Fruity Pebbles. Make Rice Crispy treats, use Fruity Pebbles instead of Rice Crispies.

Put that on top o' yer head and yer tongue'll beat yer brains out tryin' to get to it.
