June 14th, 2018: Portable Pool

Benedetto Bufalino is French, and an artist. I guess that explains, or maybe excuses, the things he builds like a phone booth aquarium,
police car chicken coop, or tennis court on top of a tractor trailer.
His latest is this portable swimming pool.

Not real practical because you can’t move it with the water in it, I guarantee the axle/wheels won’t take it.
So when you get where you want to use it, you have to jack it up, fill it, and wait for the water to warm up.

Oh, and that ladder was not made for bare feet. :headshake

That is not even a stroke long. It's a large bath.

I'd be interested to see the internal supporting structure of that caravan.

Assuming the 'pool' is about 10ft x 8ft and a modest 2ft deep, that works out at 120 cu ft of water.
One cu foot of water weighs 62.39lbs so 120 cu ft of the stuff is 7486lbs or 3.34 (Imperial) tons!

There's a video at the first link.

The kid is not happy with his situation. I'm sure the water is freezing, but he may also not care for the height.

Thanks for that, Bruce.

I'd had an earlier look at the link but I use Firefox and, for some reason, there was about half an acre of white space where the video should be.
Using IE put matters right.
