May 16th, 2018: Lava

We've been seeing a lot of pictures of the lava from the Hawaiian eruption.
This one caught my eye because not everything close to the flowing lava has been incinerated.

The flowing Red Lava is at least 1200 F, the Orange Lava is around 1600 F, and can be 2200 F.

Like the waitresses at Durgin Park, Boston used to say, "Hot stuff, Comin' through".

That is some serious shit, y'know?

I lived in Hawaii for just short of a year, back in the day.

As awesome as it is, "paradise" is overrated!

OK, this explains why it's not all burnt up...

Every time I hear/read the word lava, I think of the first Ice Age movie.

Actually there hasn't been much on the news about the volcano here. Maybe 30 seconds about how many houses destroyed. Not to mention the cretin who let his Mustang get roasted.

Pfft. Best thing that could happen to a Ford. Even the Mustang dude said he was more worried about his R2D2 mailbox...
