Pete and I joined a Tuesday night race league. We joined because the $70 got us 5 nights of skiing a Saturday pass and a steak dinner. We stuck around because it's freaking awesome.
Unfortunately, Pete can now quantify the fact that she is better than me. :sniff: I had better times than her the first three races but she turned it around for the last two. We both progressed a lot but not nearly enough to push any of the top racers. There is a huge skills gap there. Pete had a bronze and two silvers in her division the last three weeks and I got two bronzes the last two weeks. We are both out skiing our equipment and Pete is very fired up about this so it looks like will be in the market for new gear. The racing really helped my recreational skiing a lot and got us through what can be a bleak time of year. recommended
