Feb 10th, 2018: Lingerie

It’s almost Valentines day which means flowers, chocolates, and lingerie.
None of this is new, it’s traditional to give your sweetheart this crap.

Some vintage WWII Sweetheart Lingerie. Yes that’s right, World War II lingerie.
Soldiers abroad and in the States would also give their gal a pair of the saucy undergarments as a memento of their love, but also to make sure their girls stayed faithful while they were away. “Don’t Touch” and “Off-limits” were commonly embroidered into the crotch area of the lingerie alongside the name of the soldier’s naval base or fleet.

Don’t know if it worked or not because Rosie the Riveter was exploring new freedom.

At least they are somewhat more subtle than the chastity belt which became obsolete shortly after the invention of the hacksaw.

Notice how the one that says "Keep your pants on" has a zipper, so she can cheat AND still keep her pants on.

How the "Sweet and Sour" thing caught on is a mystery to me.

I know two men with sweet n sour tattoos over their nipples.

That's... unusual. What percentage do they represent, out of all the men you know with nipple-adjacent tattoos?

If ya count tats in the chestal area, they represent a fairly small percentage.

If we're only talking nipplecentric tats, it's a fairly huge percentage.
