Dec 30th, 2017: Indian Garb

Meandering around the web, once in awhile I discover pictures of Indian(native American) garb.
Usually there is little or no information, but they look cool.

The first three are contemporary reproductions, not for Hollywood, but researched for authentic design,
authentic assembly skills, and authentic materials.

I would guess if you had a time machine and looked at the originals they wouldn’t look this good.
I’m guessing here, but simply because this kind of ceremonial piece was handed down for generations and
packed away in between.

The last piece is supposed to be authentic, so I guess it was his Sunday best and not worn much.

That's it, break's over, get back to that honey-do list.

The Coyote Dancer outfit made me wonder when they were located. Southern CA, half way between LA and Mexico. Looking at it again, yup, that figures. :haha:

The forehead strip on the 42'" Plains Style Victory Headdress looks like a military medals bar.
Kinda disappointing to find that it is in stock at the Prescott store for $1500.

The scary Coyote Dancer figure is on sale for $5,250, also in stock.

Google Images has a bunch more.

A friend of mine owns a small Montana town with a sweet little museum. This is one of the rare items in the museum's collection:
