Nov 25th, 2017: Stunning airport photography

Undertoad • Nov 24, 2017 11:57 pm
My Modern Met highlights "Life Cycles", a stunning collection from photographer Mike Kelley, showing the symmetry and infrastructure surrounding the big jets.

Image

For Life Cycles, Kelley hired a helicopter to fly over LAX, the Southern California Logistics Airport, and Seattle's Boeing Field/King County International Airport, as well as the Mojave and Victorville boneyards. Building on his desire to demonstrate the complexity and scale of modern air travel, Kelley's photographs are a symphony of symmetry. His carefully composed shots show careful attention to the architecture of the planes and surrounding structures, creating compositions that are both intriguing and artistic.

Planes from a plane.

My caption "Planes on a plane." refers to airplanes on a flat plane (the ground).

The narrative says the pictures were taken from a helicopter. Helicopters are not planes. Nothing in the narrative suggests that all the photographs were taken from the same flight level (altitude plane).

Please explain "Planes from a plane."

Jesus Christ, dude, I made a mistake. Get over it maybe.

Or don't.

God will forgive you; but, he still won't let you vote.

"blah blah blah, well at least I didn't go to jail and I can still vote"

classy

I think he's special forces, not a seal, so the "c" "l" shouldn't be there. You could just take that part off.
Gravdigr • Nov 30, 2017 4:11 pm
Bless his heart.

No mention of a "ftfy", or "you mean", so not a mistake, another true statement. Sexo is just yanking your chain.
Undertoad • Nov 30, 2017 4:48 pm
xoB, is a helicopter considered a plane?
xoxoxoBruce • Nov 30, 2017 4:53 pm
Nope, aircraft. Pilot's on the wrong side like it was some kind of limey invention. ;)

In Sexo's defense, I think he was flinging one of mine own prior comments back at me.

Defense? He got no defense. He don't need no stinkin defense.

To whom it may concern,

I made a mistake. Get over it maybe.

Or don't.

And he doesn't offer one, either.

Those were your words.

(I'm into recycling.)
Gravdigr • Dec 2, 2017 4:39 pm
Yeah, I know. I'm the one that pointed it out.

Well it's plane to see this thread went off at a tangent. We should probably sine off on it. Anyone want to cosine? This is probably integral to our future functioning
