Built a stash of flammable materials under the plastic cover. No reason to chew fuel lines unless they're in the way. Steel lines are ok, but aluminum they could chew through, although I doubt there would be an attraction like some plastic is to mice.
Now, see? That's a squrl that's gotta die.
Driveways should be giant sticky traps that you can park on. And/or you should mount
one of these under the hood. Above a strut or something they can stand on.

My cousin's mother-in-law had a squrl that would go get the peanut wherever he saw you put it.
I can't tell you how entertaining it is listening to a squrl going through the change/keys in a pants pocket looking for a peanut.
We have a nest of flying squirrels in the woods next to the grapevines. I found a flat one in the driveway. Actually I have seen them. At first I thought I needed new glasses.
I was walking to the neighbors and a black thing went by in daylight. Like maybe a big floatie, but then I have seen it again so I still have the same glasses.
A flying squirrel got into our bedroom one night. Woke me up when it crawled across my wife's face and she screamed. Then is scampered across my face. I still don't know how it got in.
If Santa Claus, the tooth fairy and the Easter bunny can get in your house then I am sure it is no bother for a squirrel.[emoji48]
