While researching the IOtD on the Susquehanna Ice Bridge I found this speech by John P Kennedy, a novelist, politician, and Secretary of the Navy under Millard Fillmore. I thought is was a fun read, your mileage may vary.

Interesting. Every time I drive northbound over that bridge, my eye is drawn to that cliff and the building at the top.
Good find glatt, the additional pages tell of his falconry and the fact he was a dick. I was unaware of Lord Baltimore's feud with Wm Penn over boundary or Talbot's plan to kidnap Penn. Cool stuff. :thumb:
