Spelling mis-States!

I can't spell worth a damn - only these new fangled programs that I have on my iphone and windows 10 save me from complete and utter demoralization, so I was fascinated to come across a compendium from Google Trends which gives the word the most residents of each state sought to spell in the first four months of this year. In my own home state of New Mexico that word was "banana." Yeah, never could spell that. Bannana? Bananna? Bandana? Pendejo! But why were New Mexicans so interested in correctly spelling "banana" when Pennsylvanians were eagerly looking up "sauerkraut," Californians were thinking about "tomorrow" and Rhode Island(?) was trying to figure out "deceit"? Interesting that last one. :eyebrow:

Probably New Mexicans were busy trying to point out that while it feels like we're now living in a banana republic, the REAL banana republic is located further south in OLD Mexico (at least it used to be). But surely the Pennsylvania Dutch have figured out how to spell "sauerkraut" by now?
