Music - Not sure how I feel about this

Somehow Right Said Fred's "Too Sexy" came up in my playlist. (I know, my hands were dirty and I didn't want to wash then so I could hit 'next') At 1:14 I hear a familiar melody in the back ground, not sampled, but 90% intact.

When EDM "bands" pretend to play instruments in their video, aren't they basically admitting that they wish they were "real" musicians?

But I was wrong. Big mama Thornton wrote Hound Dog in 52. Sam Phillips, the owner of Sun Records got into and lost a legal battle over his recording of Bearcat, which was an answer song. He had to sell Elvis's contract for 35k to stay in business.
