At Takhini Hot Pools in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory (Northwest Canada), they host a COOL hair-freezing contest! Brave
contestants soak in a hot pool of water (roughly 40° Celsius/104° Fahrenheit) and then dunk their heads under water.
When they emerge, the air is so cold (-30° Celsius/-22° Fahrenheit) that they can start “styling” their icy hair!

104 degree water is hot, higher than hot tub makers recommend. Spend some time in that temperature water and you
won't feel cold for some time, even at 22 below. The body is glad to recover.

Takhini offers cash prizes but I don’t know if it’s for the best style or most stupid.

pretty neat. I see a suspicious lack of steam in those pictures though. clearly plenty of moisture, seems cold... something's weird.
