Infrastructure don't care, it'll do what it can.

Christmas sales are a little off so you're helping those seasonal dudes get their needed check.

Including me, one of the unfortunate truckers tapped to work over the Holiday. I will leave Dallas around one pm Saturday and head to Pittston and Mountain Top PA by Tuesday.

I always worked holidays. It was easier than staying home.

You guys are/were the backbone of our country.

What's the old saying?

"If you got it, a truck brought it."

There's also a bumper sticker I'm sure you guys are aware of:

"If you don't like tractor trailers, stop buying shit."

But the fact remains, long distance trucking is not efficient, we should be moving shit by rail, then distributing by truck.

The problem now is when the interstates were built on our dime, and trucking rates were regulated, trucking companies and owner operators could make money, so it mushroomed. But the loss of business caused the railroads to sell rolling stock, cut routes and neglect infrastructure, so they're no position to operate quickly or efficiently.

Then the trucking rates were deregulated making long distance trucking even cheaper by fucking the truckers, especially the owner operators.
