I started a Youtube channel last week. It was something to get me active/engaged. It is basically rehashing my old vids at this point. Unbelievably, a couple of military channels included them in recommendations. This the fourth day for this video and it has over 20,000 views.

You have them monetized with ads, right? Do you know how to do that? Do it immediately.
I'm not monetizing any of my videos with music. I don't want to mess with the copyright issues. Thanks for the suggestion though. What do you think about the 8 second intro with my logo?

I understand the need for an intro, but as a viewer, I get tired of seeing long intros. I personally would prefer a short 3-4 second one.

Y'all don't blame me for trying. I need an outlet. I keep going in cycles of being totally withdrawn and housebound. I can't go to crowded places. I rarely speak to anyone on the phone because I slur after the stroke.

Sarge, I think what you're doing is really cool! And I'm telling you, with that many hits, the copyright owners to the music are going to take notice sooner rather than later anyway. You don't have to be making money for it to be illegal. Get yourself one CD of royalty-free music, change it out, and re-upload the videos. Then monetize the hell out of them and watch the very tiny bits of money trickle in. :)

Hey BusterB! Sorry for the whining last night. I was up with the pain and feeling sorry for myself. Anyway, I'm doing fine now. Clodfobble, I appreciate the advice and I'm going to try to use royalty free music. Gravdigr and Fargon, y'all keep hangin' in there and thanks for checking out my video.
