Fashion

While I do appreciate a well dressed woman, this is pretty much my take on fashion.

Ok, I'm a slob, clean but comfortable is my zen.
I look at these men hanging out on a Mississippi August day, and they look comfortable.

But a closer look makes me wonder what on earth would make a man wear the pointy shoes on the left?

It's not like he's alone, millions do it every day. Why?

I followed this trend for women back in the 80's but kept getting ingrown toenails, so I stopped (more or less, unless I really had to look good to go somewhere). Plus I have broad feet, so they just really are not designed for my feet. The fashion is back in again with the pointy toes, but there's no way I'd bother. It's uncomfortable and actually bad for you.

I know there is no logical reason for it, but I am deeply grossed out by toe cleavage sticking out of a shoe. Bare feet don't bother me at all, but the toe cleavage... Ugh.

There was a perky local TV newscaster I had a thing for, from afar. I saw her when she came to where I worked and she was wearing pointy cockroach kickers. That was it, it was over between us and she just went downhill after that. ;)
