New Dwellars. Are they real?

Yesterday evening, about 1930BST/1430EDT, I noticed new members apparently signing up every few minutes.

A similar thing is happening as I type and they all purport to be viewing the index.

I suspect subterfuge.

Any thoughts from our esteemed management?

Are you aware of any tech means of dealing with them, or is it a case of swatting them as they appear?

I used to check each one, but UT and glatt have a system to handle them more efficiently.
