A robbery... or I guess burglary, of a taxidermy warehouse in the Wandsworth Borough of London.
A few miscellaneous antiques were taken, but the vast majority of the £100,000 haul consisted of 18 stuffed animals.
For you colonials, a Luton Van would be like a U-Haul truck where the box continues up over the cab. To steal a giraffe, I would think so.
That's an understatement, they probably all had first names... the critters, not the crooks... well the crooks probably did to but that doesn't make them special. I mean even paupers, heathens, and ne'er-do-wells can have a first name. [SIZE="1"]GET ON WITH IT ![/SIZE]
They claim it happened "between 19:20hrs and 19:41hrs", and I'd bet those critters were pre-sold, in a shipping container, and headed
for some Oil Sheik, Russian Oligarch, or Chinese Billionaire, before morning.
But if Brits have any spare time, keep an eye out for a Giraffe or a monkey in a top hat. If you spot one give Bird the Word :yesnod:

The thieves arrived in a Luton van with a grey cab and white body and used angle grinders to force their way into the premises.

Detective Constable Edward Bird said: "This was not a random crime, the burglars had came prepared and well equipped.Right on, Bird, this was not a smash and grab, or snatched purse.
This was a criminal enterprise and these thieves need to be stopped before they commit further crimes.
